MALAYSIAN ASSOCIATION IN FRANCE (MAF) CHINESE NEW YEAR GATHERING

His Excellency Dato’ S. Thanarajasingam, Ambassador of Malaysia and his wife, Datin Dr. Saradha Iyer, attended the Chinese New Year lunch gathering hosted by the Malaysian Association in France (MAF) at the Restaurant Zen near the Champs Elysées in Paris on Sunday, 17 February 2008. 

In keeping with the tradition as in the previous years, the ‘Yee Sang’ was not forgotten. Other highlights of the event were the giving away of Ang Pow and oranges to the children.

The Chinese New Year celebration was successful with a large turnout of Malaysians in Paris, together with their families and friends. Many local guests were impressed to see the harmonious interaction between the different cultures and ethnics of Malaysia during the lunch gathering.
